Tell the Youth and Young Adults that you know about this event!
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We are grateful to create an opportunity to shed some light and education on this topic. Mental Health has become an increasingly imperative topic because statistics show that teens and young adults have been suffering in silence at staggering rates.
On Friday, May 13th at 7:00 PM EST, CVS Health will present “A Night of Education event Secure the Mind: A Conversation on Mental Wellness.” It will be a collaboration with Reach Worldwide, a youth-led faith-based organization. The event will be live streamed.
Intention and Outcomes for the audience:
1. Educate and empower youth, young adults and parents on mental health awareness
2. Remove the stigma of talking about mental health challenges
3. Provide resources for those who are struggling with their mental health
The influences and pressures of social media and the pandemic's effects (increase in loss, fear, anxiety, social isolation, and loneliness) are being declared an epidemic contributing to the mental health challenges that an alarming rate of youth and young adults are facing today.
